Does it get better over time on your healing journey?
Did it get better as I evolved and worked on my self-development?
Heyyy:) nice to be with you again 🙂
How are you doing today ?
Let’s do something right now , okay ?
Check your shoulders, are they tense? Release them. Take the tension off for a moment.
Check your jaw , is it clenched? How about you try and relax it for a while?
And check your breath, is your breathing shallow?
Your forehead?
Is there any other place that needs a bit of relaxation and relief? Take this moment to release and let your body be still for a moment.
Good , wonderful, thank you for doing that with me!
So today I wanted to touch upon a topic we have previously discussed, it was about emotionally intense moments. Specifically anxiety , worry, overthinking, just being right in the messiness of it all.
Take a deep breath , a cup of your favorite tea if you wish to , light a candle and get cozy, so we can begin our conversation of the day 🙂
So, does it get better?
First of all, please remember, I am not a psychologist. I am a person who feels like sharing her life experiences to help someone else who needs it. If you are resonating with my posts please leave a like/ comment and let’s get right into it.
How I would’ve loved to read this type of a post about 3 years ago . My heart was craving for reassurance, for a helping hand, for a calm presence . So, here I am, sharing that with you .
My wish for you is that you read this post and hopefully take even just a little bit for yourself as reassurance that it truly gets better!
The answer is YES!
It got better for me as I evolved and developed.
I found ways and tools that fit me, step by step implementing them and over time the feelings of overwhelm got better AND I got more capable of managing them, understanding them.
One day not so long ago I got into one of these moments. My heart was racing, feeling tightness , feeling anxiety coming in and I opened the post I previously wrote about these kind of moments. I smiled, because the things , practices I mentioned are exactly what I do and what helps me.
For me it has gotten better over the last 3 years. I have gotten mentors, received tools, practices, ways how to manage and work with and through the overwhelm.
A practice for you
As I am now writing and connecting with you I thought I would offer you one more practice, more like remind of one that I have resonated a lot with.
It involves self compassion, self acceptance, deep breathing and curiosity.
Find a calm spot, or create one where you are.
Take a few deep breaths, slow , calm, inviting air and peace into your lungs. Remember, there is no rush.
Next you can put one hand on your chest and the other on your stomach, connecting with yourself.
Imagine peace coming in you. A peaceful energy, calm surrounding you and coming in you. Slow and steady, keep breathing and invite calm.
When you have done this enough be curious. Ask yourself what that was about, what caused it and what does you body, your soul want you to know. They probably have an answer for you. Continue your deep, slow breathing as you wait for the answer. When the answer comes I like to write it in my journal, whatever it is. Being open to it and receiving it, not pushing it away.
Afterwards, when the atmosphere is more calm, I like to go back to it and explore it.
This is something I do very often and I do it while being at home, while walking, while being anywhere really where I can do it. I really like this simple and easy practice and, as I advance, the practice keeps growing and getting better. In the beginning it was really simple and easy. Now I am adding more to it.
This practice helps me tap into my center and even when I am calm to collect my energy so it is all with me and not scattered where it doesn’t need to be.
I really hope this practice resonated with you as it does with me:)
Now take a deep breath
And I will see you later!
Thank you for spending this time with me 🙂
With love and light
